
Overview:
The Equipment and Infrastructure Support Fund contribute to capacity-building at New Brunswick research institutions by supporting instrumentation or infrastructure purchases that are critical in building and growing research programs. Where possible, labs and research teams are encouraged to contribute to a collaborative research ecosystem that maximizes infrastructure investments across institutions and sectors.
By the end of the funding period, researchers should be able to demonstrate how the infrastructure investment led to increased efficiency, greater accuracy, and/or a competitive advantage for New Brunswick.
Leverage:
3:1 where in-kind and vendor discounts can be included as leverage (for up to 50% of the match)
Eligibility:
Applicants must be researchers at one of the eligible research institutions listed in our Award Guidelines.
Eligible Expenses:
Costs associated with the purchase, installation or maintenance of the equipment described in the application
Award and Reporting:
Award Value: Maximum request of $80k
Award Duration: Up to three years.
Anticipated notice of decision date: September 3, 2026
Status Reporting: An interim status report due annually and a final status report due three months after the award end date. Awardees are also required to submit 1- and 3-year Impact Reports following the Final Status Report.
This award is non-renewable.
